Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Student Success

  1. Monitor and advance student progress and success rates; oversee student complaint and appeal due diligence.
  2. Promote optimal learning environments through faculty and curricular supervision.
  3. Coordinate with student services to manage student life activities.
  4. Oversee SEVIS procedures for foreign students.

Faculty and Staff Management

  1. Assist program directors with the recruitment,  hiring, and orientation of faculty and staff; assure faculty are meeting      qualifications.
  2. Oversee and participate in faculty and staff  evaluation and development; utilize course evaluations and other information channels to monitor faculty and modify faculty goals as needed.
  3.  Oversee teaching and committee assignments; monitor      faculty teaching hours in concert with other faculty expectations to  assure reasonable and equitable workload.
  4. Facilitate establishment of faculty development goals for each faculty and staff member.
  5. Oversee faculty scholarly agendas and provide needed resources.
  6. Support faculty with student-related advisement, progression, and retention issues.
  7. Assure best practices of learning are being utilized.
  8. Serve as ex-officio member of curriculum committee and Faculty Senate.

Quality Improvement and Accreditation

  1. Oversee the collection of program outcome data.
  2. Assist team in analysis of outcome data to determine areas for curricular and program improvement.
  3. Participate in Board of Trustee Meetings,  providing academic operations information as requested.
  4.  Maintain compliance with accreditation standards, state regulations, and Department of Education Title IV regulations and  IPEDS reporting.
  5. Lead the development and submission of  accreditation and regulatory documents in a timely manner.

Strategic Planning and Advancement

  1. a. Assist with planning, policy, and tactical  development of the institution’s strategic plan as necessary to fulfill  goals and plans of the institute; participate with school deans and directors  to advance the Institute.
  2. b. Work  with marketing and admissions to develop and implement marketing  strategies to promote the Institute.
  3. c. Assist in the development of catalogs, manuals and handbooks.

Administrative Operations

a. Ensure and oversee the day-to-day operational functions of the university.

b. Work with the President and to develop and implement budgets.

c. Uphold  policies of the Institute.

Service

a. Actively participate in professional associations that align with the Institute’s mission.

b. Support and exemplify the Institute’s core values.

c. Serve as Institute liaison in community and/or professional activities.

d. Promote professionalism by modeling and encouraging such behaviors through all work endeavors.

Scholarship

  1. a. Support and guide research activities of faculty  and students.
  2. b. Create and disseminate scholarly work in related  fields of study.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Perform other duties and responsibilities that the Board of Trustees or President deem necessary.

POSITION IN ORGANIZATION

REPORTS TO: University President

POSITIONS SUPERVISED: Responsible for the direction and supervision of program directors, academic and student services deans, along with partial supervision of shared administrative and other staff.
