Dr. Michael Da, LPC, LMHC, is an author, editor, educator, researcher and psychotherapist teaching courses in psychology, writing, philosophy, and critical thinking at California Institute for Human Science. His primary research interests include psychological energy, philosophy of science in psychology, and the history of psychology. Dr. Da is a contributor to The Wiley-Blackwell Handbook of Transpersonal Psychology (2nd ed.), and his other notable publications include “Psychological Energy: Theorists in the Early Analytical Tradition” and papers on psychological energy and philosophy in psychology. He is an editor for the International Journal of Transpersonal Studies and served as editor for the special topic section on transpersonal philosophy. As an existential-depth psychotherapist, Dr. Da focuses on midlife transitions, mental illness in relationships, existential concerns, and exceptional human experiences.
