Biography

Dr. Alisa Estey has served as a research and statistical consultant for many years, facilitating empirical research studies across multiple disciplines. She has a strong passion for teaching and guiding students to reach their full potential. She has been teaching since 2015 and has received seven teaching awards. She continually strives to improve her teaching knowledge and skills, using evidence-based teaching practices and techniques. Her teaching focus is on methodology, research design, and statistics in the field of psychology. Her research interests are within the sub-field of positive psychology, such as the cognitive mechanisms associated with well-being (e.g., attribution styles). She has published several articles in the field of psychology as well. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and rescue dogs, baking, and being outdoors.
