Biography

Judith “Yem” Fong is Professor Emerita and Faculty Ombuds at the University of Colorado (CU) Boulder. She formerly served as a Faculty Director in the University Libraries responsible for developing the Libraries’ content and general collections before transitioning to the university’s Ombuds Office. In her current role she provides conflict resolution and mediation services for faculty, graduate students, and staff.

Yem is a founding member of the national Asian and Pacific American Women’s Leadership Institute/Center for Asian and Pacific American Women. She has published in the field of library and scholarly publishing and has been involved in numerous diversity and leadership initiatives at CU and in the community. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, her Master’s from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Certificate of Completion from the Japan America Institute of Management, Honolulu & Tokyo.
